Referrals encourage and reward satisfied and loyal customers to refer new customers to your online store. It involves sharing referrals and rewarding those who refer successfully. By leveraging incentives, referral management helps online businesses organically expand their customer base and increase sales.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Why_do_I_need_this_Extension\"><\/span>Why do I need this Extension?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>This extension will help you define a referral bonus for users who will bring footfall to your online store<\/li>\n<li>This extension will also help you set up a signup bonus for first-time shoppers on your online store.<\/li>\n<li>The addition of this extension will help you increase initial traction for your website by incentivizing the whole shopping process.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Prerequisites\"><\/span>Prerequisites?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Please ensure the<strong>Customer Wallet Support extension<\/strong> is installed and configured on your website.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_do_I_generate_referral_codes_for_my_website_users\"><\/span>How do I generate referral codes for my website users?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<div class=\"row_zopping\">\n<div class=\"col_6_zopping flex_center\">\n\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/zopping.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/referralManagement1-6db2ffd2e37cef022f406688b2eba048-1024x660.png\"\/>\n\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"col_6_zopping flex_center\">\n<ol style=\"margin: 0 0 10px 0;\">\n<li>Navigate to the Settings > Extensions > Marketing section. Here you will find the Referral Management extension window as shown below.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Click <strong>Install<\/strong> on the window, and add the extension to your website.<\/li>\n<li>After installing the <strong>Referral Management extension<\/strong>, navigate to the <strong>Extensions > Installed<\/strong> section. You will find the same extension in this window. Click on the Configure option.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"row_zopping\">\n<div class=\"col_6_zopping flex_center\">\n\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/zopping.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/referralmanagement2-1ce135339d0da1ddac8cfd6fac55c10a.png\">\n\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"col_6_zopping flex_center\">\n<ol start=\"4\" tyle=\"margin: 0 0 10px 0;\">\n<li>Once you land on the Referral Management page, you will see 2 sections of Referrer and Referee.\n<ul>\n<li>Referee specifies the incoming new customer who is yet to register with the online store.<\/li>\n<li>Referrer refers to the existing customer whose credentials are already registered with the online store and who wants to refer your online store to his\/ her friend\/ family.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li>In the Referrer section, you can add a <strong>Referral<\/strong> bonus either in percentage or a flat amount. If you define a percentage, click on the \u2018%\u2019 option. When you do so, another option in the same section will appear, named <strong>Maximum Limit.<\/strong> This will help you define an upper-limit discount for the referral bonus to be added to the purchase.<\/li>\n<li>Please note that if the referee places an order, and the referral bonus applicable exceeds the percentage limit defined here, the value defined for the <strong>Maximum Limit<\/strong> will be prioritized by the system and will be applied at the time of order completion.<\/li>\n<li>In the Referee section, you can add a <strong>Signup bonus<\/strong>. This will get credited into the wallet of the referee upon successfully signing up and this money can be used for immediate purchases on your online store.<\/li>\n<li>After adding all the required information, click on <strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_will_this_change_affect_my_online_store\"><\/span>How will this change affect my online store?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<div class=\"row_zopping\">\n<div class=\"col_6_zopping flex_center\">\n\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/zopping.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/referralManagement3-e8e0c86ef792564ece613cbdb5d85916.png\">\n\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"col_6_zopping flex_center\">\n<ol>\n<li>When an existing user logs in to your online store, in the profile section, you will see an option to <strong>Refer a Friend<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row_zopping\">\n<div class=\"col_6_zopping flex_center\">\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>When the users select this option, a pop-up will open displaying the referral code.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<div class=\"col_6_zopping flex_center\">\n\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/zopping.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/referralManagement4-f893f5bd071fd31ff68d9fa236ac9c89.png\">\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>The user can then send this referral code to any newcomer to the website and they can avail of this discount on their first purchase.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"row_zopping\">\n<div class=\"col_6_zopping flex_center\">\n\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/zopping.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/referralManagement5-d1013e2f64ae33039d2f4b4efbdd7117.png\">\n\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"col_6_zopping flex_center\">\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>When the newcomer signs up for the first time, an option to enter a referral code will be shown. Here, they can enter the referral code with their credentials and sign up at the store.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<ol start=\"5\" style=\"margin: 0 0 15px 0;\">\n<li>Once they sign up, the referral bonus will be reflected in the newcomer\u2019s store wallet. The user needs to go to <strong>Profile > Wallet<\/strong> and there will be added credit balance to the wallet, which the user can avail in their purchases.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Note \u2013<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A single referral code can be handed over to multiple users. All of their purchases and the subsequent referral bonuses will be credited accordingly.<\/li>\n<li>The receivers of the referral codes can use their signup bonus preferably on their first purchase<\/li>\n<li>The referrer will receive their referral bonus only after the referee makes a purchase. The referral bonus should reflect on the referrer\u2019s wallet within a couple of days of the referee\u2019s order completion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_happens_when_I_uninstall_this_extension\"><\/span>What happens when I uninstall this extension?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Your customers can no longer see their unique referral code.<\/li>\n<li>New users who sign up can no longer use the referral code.<\/li>\n<li>Existing cashback in the customer wallet can be continued to be used for future purchases.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Referral management is an extension in Zopping that enables you to run a referral program for your online store.
